Pyth Indices and the Longer Trading Day
Trading is moving beyond the closing bell. See which Pyth Indices are trending on Terminal, and how their pricing supports markets with different trading hours.

What's Trending in 24/7 Markets
Finance started moving beyond the closing bell before exchange calendars caught up.
Cboe reported 590% growth in average daily volume during its early-hours U.S. equities sessions from February 2022 to February 2026. Robinhood already offers overnight trading in select stocks and ETFs, five days a week.
Market participants can now act on news across more of the day, and pricing infrastructure needs to keep pace with the products that make it possible.
Pyth had long since extended U.S. equity pricing to 24/5. As venues began building markets that stay open through the weekend, Pyth Indices were created to cover this gap.
The June 2026 launch introduced 17 products across oil, U.S. equities, metals and Coinbase thematic baskets. Pyth has since expanded into more equities, Asian listings and ETFs, alongside new energy products.
As of October 27, the Terminal catalog lists 75 stable Pyth Index feeds and 23 coming soon.
Each has a methodology and schedule suited to its market: some are priced around the clock; others pause with their underlying contracts.

What's trending on Pyth Terminal
Since the June 9 launch, Pyth Terminal's current analytics readout shows 1,305,731 index detail-page views from 167,017 distinct visitor IDs through October 26, 2026.
Seven indices each drew more than 10,000 views. Together, they accounted for 98.2% of index-page views:

From index data to new markets
Kalshi uses Pyth’s US30 Index to resolve its US30 price markets. Coinbase launched thematic equity baskets built with Pyth and MarketVector. Kraken integrated Pyth Indices for oil perpetuals. OKX uses Pyth-calculated index references alongside other inputs for its equity-index perpetuals. Lighter subscribes to Pyth Indices as part of its market-data stack as it expands perpetual markets beyond crypto.
Not every index follows a 24/7 schedule: Pyth's constant-maturity futures indices pause when their underlying contracts stop trading. The methodology and hours need to fit the product being built.
