Pyth Pro Is Live on Sui: A Performance Upgrade for DeFi Pricing
Feb 19, 2026

Pyth Pro is now live on Sui.
Pyth Price Feeds have been available on Sui from day one and has underpinned the majority of the ecosystem’s DeFi activity. To date, Pyth has powered over $80B in perpetual trading volume on Sui, securing 100% of onchain perp markets, and has supported more than $1B in total value secured, with approximately $600M secured today across active lending and DeFi protocols.
As Sui’s DeFi ecosystem has scaled, so have the demands placed on pricing infrastructure. Protocols are no longer just consuming oracle updates, they are running continuous risk systems where latency, update frequency, and asset coverage directly affect correctness under real market conditions.
Pyth Pro builds on this foundation. It is an important performance upgrade for protocols that need tighter guarantees.
Why Pyth Pro Matters for Sui Apps
Sui is designed for performance: parallel execution, low latency, and high throughput. These properties have enabled builders to move quickly from spot markets into more complex products such as perpetuals, lending systems, high performance AMMs, and RWAs.
For these applications, price data becomes a critical dependency. Delayed updates, coarse aggregation, or missing session coverage can introduce real failure modes — particularly during volatility.
Pyth Pro is designed for this class of application: systems where pricing speed and accuracy are part of the core execution path, not a background service.
What Pyth Pro Provides
On Sui, Pyth Pro delivers millisecond-level price updates with sub-second end-to-end latency, broad cross-asset coverage, and audited, production-ready infrastructure. The data is sourced directly from institutional market participants and is the same class of pricing used by professional trading systems and market makers.
For builders, this means fewer constraints as products become more sophisticated.
24/5 U.S. Equities on Sui
A key capability enabled by Pyth Pro is continuous U.S. equity pricing.
Pyth Pro supports real-time pricing for 50+ U.S. stocks across the full trading cycle, including pre-market, regular session, post-market, and overnight trading. This allows equity-linked markets on Sui to remain live outside traditional exchange hours without relying on stale or discontinuous price references.
For protocols building equity perps, RWAs, or structured products, this removes a structural limitation that previously constrained product design. Today, Pyth is the only provider offering reliable 24/5 equity price feeds in DeFi.
Data Sourced Directly from Institutions
Pyth Pro pricing is sourced upstream.
Prices are contributed directly by 125+ institutional publishers, including Jane Street, Jump Trading, Cboe, Blue Ocean, Virtu, and Optiver. These contributors are active participants in price discovery, not downstream data vendors or aggregators.
This sourcing model avoids exchange API scraping, aggregation delays, opaque pricing logic, and restrictive redistribution terms. Prices are aggregated transparently and published with confidence intervals, allowing protocols to reason explicitly about data quality rather than treating pricing as a black box.
What This Enables for Builders
With Pyth Pro available on Sui, builders can design systems that depend on continuous, real-time pricing across asset classes and trading sessions.
This includes perpetual markets with tighter funding and liquidation logic, lending systems with improved collateral valuation, and equity or RWA products that remain active outside traditional market hours. In these designs, pricing is no longer the limiting factor.
A Continued Pyth–Sui Collaboration
Pyth has been part of Sui’s DeFi infrastructure since day one in the network’s lifecycle, powering the majority of its perp volume and securing hundreds of millions in active value.
Pyth Pro extends that collaboration by making higher-performance pricing available to protocols that need it. For Sui, this reflects an ongoing commitment to providing builders with best-in-class infrastructure as the ecosystem scales.
