We’re sounding off the whale alert. Cetus, a leading DEX and concentrated liquidity protocol built on the Sui and Aptos networks is joining the Pyth Network’s data provider community. The Cetus DEX will contribute its real-time price data for Aptos and Sui-native tokens to enhance the digital assets coverage of the Pyth Network. This expansion will accelerate the growth of Web3 markets, and especially the Move DeFi ecosystem.
What is Cetus?
- Cetus is a pioneer DEX and concentrated liquidity protocol built on the Sui and Aptos blockchain.
- The mission of Cetus is to build a powerful and flexible underlying liquidity network to make trading easier for any users and assets. Cetus focuses on delivering the best trading experience and superior liquidity efficiency to DeFi users through the process of building its concentrated liquidity protocol and a series of affiliate interoperable functional modules
- Cetus DEX has already processed close to $500M in trading volume while having ‘only’ $10M in value locked in the protocol
“A data publisher from the DEX market is indispensable for a trusted blockchain oracle”, said Henry Du, Co-founder of Cetus. “Cetus is happy to publish its DEX-based price data for Pyth in the long term to jointly support the DeFi community in emerging ecosystems, and push forward the decentralization progress together.”
“We're pleased to have Cetus, the leading DEX protocol on Aptos and Sui, joining the Pyth Network to contribute its protocol market data,” said Marc Tillement, Director, Pyth Data Association. “As a leading oracle for DeFi applications, it is paramount to onboard as publishers those who can provide high-quality on-chain assets. With Cetus as the newest publisher, it will bolster the Pyth Network’s ability to further support and add Aptos and Sui-related assets including liquid staked tokens.”
Creators and owners of market data such as Cetus are vital to the Pyth Network. The network’s data provider community plays a crucial role in providing reliable and robust price data to support the financial needs of global blockchain participants.
